Nightlife in Tallahassee revolves around the favorite pastime of its inhabitants – Seminoles sports teams.
The city is more proud of its status as college town than it is of its designation as state capital.
The place to find good drink and good company is the Tallahassee Strip, located on the west end of Tallahassee Street which is by Florida State University. Bars here attract students, professors and local professionals alike – especially on game day when the stadiums are sold out or the ‘Noles are away.
Live music and dance clubs are also popular nightlife destinations, but it is the sports bar that gets most of the action.
